merry christmas 2073

December 7th 2023

My local photography group’s December meeting has become an occasion for a Christmas dinner out. To make sure we don’t neglect the purpose of our group we exchange photographs to wish each other happy holidays. This year I’d chosen one of my images from earlier this year, contrarily on a sunny summer’s day but there was a decorative feel to it (to my mind at least). I duly added the location and date to the reverse.

Proud of my gift I popped its envelope on the back of a stylish banquette, just beneath a window ledge, Unfortunately I neglected to see a narrow gap between both…which became an impromptu letter box for my photograph. Irretrievable as the whole unit was fixed to the wall.

I reconciled myself to an image of a builder from the future discovering the envelope, with presumably other assorted ephemera. and resolved to keep an eye on the Lord Nelson for developments.
